STIs and Your Health

Did you know that according to the CDC, 1 in 2 sexually active people between the ages of 15-24 will contract an STI?

The staff of medical professionals at the Pregnancy Resource Clinic (PRC) provides knowledgeable, compassionate, and confidential medical services to women seeking care for their sexual health needs. The PRC provides testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis free of charge. Expenses are incurred for most indicated treatment.

STIs (any infection transmitted through sexual contact) often have mild to no symptoms. You should consider testing if you are in a new relationship, if you or your partner has had sex (vaginal, oral, anal) with someone else, or if you or your partner have symptoms. Undetected and untreated STIs can lead to long-term health conditions. STI screening can help detect disease early to protect one’s health and prevent the spread of STIs to others.

*STI testing is limited to trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia by vaginal swab.
